How to register an expired
domain
After a domain name expires, most registrars
include a grace period during which the registrant can
renew his/her domain name. This grace period can be as
short as one to two weeks or as long as 45 days (the
grace period is different for each individual
registrar). If the current registrant does not renew the
domain name within the allotted timeframe, the registrar
can then release the name. Once the registrar releases
the name, you can register it through WebWorks101.
In many cases, soon-to-be-expired domains
are put up for auction. If the current registrant fails
to renew the registration within the allotted grace and
subsequent redemption periods, you can attempt to obtain
the domain by placing a bid on it at the Domain Name
Aftermarket™. Visit www.tdnam.com today to see an
up-to-the-minute list of Expiring Name Auctions.
Thousands of names are available... and the advanced
search feature means you'll find what you're looking
for, fast. See a name you like? Then, simply get your
annual membership and place your bid.
